Narrative
LIVINGSTON, LA – A St. Amant man sustained fatal injuries Saturday when a vehicle struck him along the highway in central Livingston Parish.
The accident happened after 10:30 p.m. on the northbound side of LA-63 near Oliver Wheat Road on the southern outskirts of Livingston. This is about 30 miles northeast of Baton Rouge.
Police say that a northbound 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe struck the pedestrian as he was walking on the northbound side of the highway.
The victim died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified him as 47-year-old Matthew Migliore.
The driver of the Tahoe did not sustain injuries in the crash and did stop to render aid.
