De Soto Parish Crash Reports

FRIERSON, LA – A 54-year-old woman died, and a passenger was hospitalized after their vehicle crashed along the interstate in Frierson Thursday evening, reports KSLA News 12. Police say the incident happened just before 5 p.m. on Interstate 49 just north of Louisiana Highway 175. The preliminary investigation suggests that a northbound 2013 Ford F-150 veered off of the interstate and collided with a bridge railing. MANSFIELD, LA – A 27-year-old man died, and three others were hurt when a car crashed into a pickup truck on US-171 in central Desoto Parish Sunday evening, KSLA News 12 reports. Police say the crash happened just after 7 p.m. at the junction of US-171 and Kyle Porter Road when the driver of an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche on Kyle Porter Road failed to stop at a stop sign before proceeding across US-171. LOGANSPORT, LA – A 40-year-old man died after driving his pickup truck off of Highway 191 in De Soto Parish and hitting a tree, KTAL 6 reports. Police say the accident occurred before midnight south of Pierce Road when the driver, identified as Jon Temple, lost control of his vehicle. Temple was unrestrained and died at the scene. Authorities suspect impairment as a primary factor in the accident. State police will continue with a full investigation.
