INDEPENDENCE, LA – Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision that killed a 22-year-old man from Loranger on Saturday night in Independence. WAFB 9 reports that the incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. on LA-1054 near Clement Road. HAMMOND, LA – A 35-year-old woman died after her car collided with a tractor-trailer on I-12 in Tangipahoa Parish on Tuesday morning, The Advocate Reports. TICKFAW, LA – A 24-year-old bicyclist was killed near Tickfaw when a car struck him from behind last Thursday, AN17 reports. State police responded to the accident on LA-1064 near Durbin Road just after 9:15 p.m. Authorities say the bicyclist, whom they’ve identified as Roux Louis Smith-Green, was hit from behind by a 2014 Nissan Altima as both parties were traveling west on LA-1064.
