HOUMA, LA – A 58-year-old male pedestrian died Thursday night when a vehicle struck him on a highway in northeast Terrebonne Parish, reports WAFB 9. Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. on LA-24 near Stadium Drive, which is just southwest of Bayou Terrebonne in Houma. The investigation so far indicates that a southbound 2013 Dodge Charger struck the pedestrian as he walked across the highway in dark clothing. Bicyclist Killed when Struck by Pickup in Houma

HOUMA, LA – A 21-year-old bicyclist has died from injuries sustained in a collision last Tuesday with a pickup truck on LA-660 in Terrebonne Parish, WWL reports. State police have identified the deceased as Colby Prestenback from Gray, LA. They say the accident happened around 5 p.m. when Prestenback failed to stop at a red light while riding south on the northbound shoulder of LA-660.
