NEW ORLEANS, LA – A woman died on Thursday after her car was struck by another vehicle on the interstate in northeastern New Orleans, reports WGNO 10. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 257 on the Twin Span Bridge. The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim’s disabled vehicle was struck from behind by a car travelling east on I-10 towards Slidell. The female driver of the disabled vehicle died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities have not yet released her identity. NEW ORLEANS, LA – A streetcar collided with a sedan in downtown New Orleans on Friday. WGNO reports that eyewitnesses saw the streetcar push the car approximately 20 feet away. Police say the accident occurred near the intersection of Claiborne Avenue and Canal Street. They have not commented on how the crash happened but did verify that nobody was injured.
