Narrative
SULPHUR, LA – A 50-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday in a wrong-way crash in central Calcasieu Parish.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. on LA-27 over the Houston River. This is on the far north side of Sulphur.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the victim’s southbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle entered the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a northbound 2018 Dodge Charger.
The biker, identified as Walter Clinton of Leesville, died at the scene.
The driver of the Charger sustained minor injuries. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
