LAFAYETTE, LA – One person died Thursday after a multi-vehicle collision along a busy Lafayette roadway.
The incident occurred in the morning on West Pinhook Road near the intersection with East Saint Mary Boulevard, which is just northeast of Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
Police haven’t shared any details about the cause or circumstances of the collision. They say the victim died at the scene, but they did not release the name of the deceased.
Officials closed Pinhook Road in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
