Narrative
BASTROP, LA – A head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a semi killed one person on Monday morning along the highway in west-central Morehouse County.
The crash happened just before 10 a.m. on US-425 near LA-830-6. This is just northwest of Bastrop.
Police say that a southbound 2007 Ford F150 entered the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a northbound 2018 Kenworth semi-truck.
A passenger in the pickup truck, identified as Terencio Ashton died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver, identified as Branderius Brooks, went to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth did not sustained injuries in the collision.
