Narrative
WOODWORTH, LA – A 32-year-old Texas man died last Thursday after a two-vehicle crash along the interstate in central Rapides Parish.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-49 near mile marker 73, which is on the northeast side of Woodworth.
Police say the unrestrained victim was headed north in a 2008 Nissan sedan when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler along the interstate.
Medics transported the driver of the Nissan to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities identified the victim as Miguel Castillo.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.
